I created a maple and walnut chess board for my nephew for Christmas / his birthday. This was my most difficult glue up to date. Matching the pattern was very difficult and I found my table saw wasn’t big enough to clean up the ends. There are mistakes and issues I ran into but I want to make another one for my daughters to use.

A box for storing salt made from Curly maple and walnut. This was my first box and I used miters for the joinery with rabbet joints to insert the bottom and top. I hand carved out the hinge area so it would lay flat.
